For the 2nd year in a row, Sphere Restaurant has been announced winner of the 2011 Restaurant & Catering Awards in the category of the best Restaurant in a Metropolitan Hotel.
Beating other prominent Sydney hotels restaurants, the Sphere Restaurant is nestled within Rydges World Square, 4.5 star hotel and is headed up by Executive Chef Dean Havenaar.
This award is testimony to the work that Executive Chef Dean Havenaar and his team have dedicated to creating a contemporary menu that reflects the best of locally sourced and market fresh produce. The restaurant has a menu of modern Italian cuisine, but also features dishes with international accents.

The prestigious award won by Sphere Restaurant is run by Restaurant & Catering, a national association that has been established since 1922. A well recognised and respected association, the strict judging process uses the Restaurant & Catering Evaluation (RACES ) judging system which consists of 66 criteria where elements most highly regarded are the most heavily weighted.
