Ellerslie Flower Show

The Ellerslie Flower show will be held on 11-15 March 2009, the show has been moved from its traditional November date to avoid a clash with New Zealand Cup and Show Week in Christchurch.
Christchurch plant nurseries are in favour of the March date, although some raised concerns it would be hard to produce high-quality flowers so late in the season.
This prestigious event is such a good fit for our city and will boost Christchurch’s Garden City image. The late-summer Canterbury weather is normally more reliable than spring weather.
