Thredbo is celebrating the official opening of the winter season in true snow style with a white weekend full of fun festivities.
On Saturday, catch the Thredbo Freeride Series Rail Jam, take the kids to the Thredboland Animal Show and taste Wild Brumby schnapps in the village square, before being dazzled by the evening fireshow and fireworks.
Get the kids ready for the snowman building contest on Sunday and catch free screenings of the Golden Compass and Steep - an exhilarating documentry on extreme skiing - on both days, along with a host of street performers in the village square.
Be entertained in the evenings by Dallas Frasca live in the Schuss Bar and Salty Jack live in the Lounge Bar before dancing the night away in the Keller Bar.
