 Nelson Mandela celebrates Birthday near Rydges Kensington

To ring in his 90th birthday, Nelson Mandela will have some pretty big guests – Will Smith, Oprah Winfrey and Robert De Niro, for starters – at his star-studded concert in London's Hyde Park next month.
The concert comes three weeks before Mandela's actual birthday, and proceeds will go to his charity, 46664, which helps people affected by HIV and AIDS. 46664 was Mandela's prisoner number during his 27-year incarceration (which ended in 1990) by South Africa's apartheid regime.
Situated only a few hundred metres from Rydges Kensington Plaza, Nelson Mandela hopes to raise further awareness and funds for his charity in the campaign to help fight HIV and AIDS worldwide.
