 International Trout Fishing Tournament

Organised by Rotorua East Lions club, the international Trout is now in its 40th year and seeing 3rd generation children of families who fish in the tournament each year and regular anglers from overseas who travel to Rotorua each year to participate in the tournament.
Fishing is restricted to the Rotorua District waters, except Lake Aniwhenua and Wild River fisheries.
Weigh in times are noon to 12.30 daily and 7pm to 8.30pm on Friday and Saturday and 3pm to 4pm on Sunday at the tournament headquarters in Arawa Park Function Centre.
The Headquarters are open form 5pm daily, and 3pm on Sunday with food and drink available, where lucky spot prizes are to be won as well as daily prizes which are presented at the close of weigh in each day.
