The Cairns Festival, hosted by the Cairns City Council is about celebrating art, culture and the beauty of tropical living in Cairns. This year’s theme of “celebrating paradise” promises to offer festival goers an action packed week of festival events featuring an eclectic mix of performers, musician, artists, entertainers and dancers to entertain and amaze. From bird watching, to film festivals to music for fanatic fans of all genres, the Cairns Festival is sure to excite and impress all ages and all walks of people, for reasonable prices.
Events are spread over one jam packed week attracting tourists to our tropic paradise holiday destination, and getting the locals interacting in the festivities including the all new ‘One kilometer of Sunday Fun’ a kilometer of family Picnic fun with hilarious Aussie games such as ‘coconut bowling’ and ‘inflatable croc racing’ along the gorgeous Cairns Esplanade.
These events will capture the beauty of the tropics, and enliven the night life in Cairns, delighting the community with food, fun and togetherness. Beginning on 30th August 2014 and continuing until early September; culminating in a Grand Parade, Carnival on Collins and fireworks.
