Rod Laver Arena
Rod Laver Arena is a tennis stadium that is part of the Melbourne Park complex located in Melbourne and is famous for hosting the Australian Open Finals since 1988.
Previously called Centre Court, it was renamed Rod Laver Arena in 2000, in recognition of RodLaver's remarkable tennis career.
Rodney George "Rod" Laver is an Australian former tennis player who holds the record for most singles titles won in the history of tennis, with 200 career titles, including 11 Grand Slam titles.
Rod Laver Arena is equipped with the Hawke-eye electronic system which allows tennis players to challenge the umpire's decision on calls made throughout championships.
Although Rod Laver is most famous for Tennis, this arena also plays host too many world famous performers and other sporting events including Swimming, Basketball and Rodeos.
