This February, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra have quite the show for you.
Held over four summer evenings at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, you will have the chance to see the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra perform musical masterpieces by the likes of John Williams, Broadstock, Edwards, Prokofiev, Dvorák, Bartók, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Mozart and Mahler. It features exciting performers such as young Latvian conductor Ainars Rubikis, prize-winning pianist Hoang Pham, conductor Benjamin Northey, violinist Kristian Winther and soprano Siobhan Stagg.
This is a popular annual summer Melbourne event and is a great way to experience classical music and enjoy the warm summer nights.
It is recommended that patrons bring along a picnic, rugs, cushions and chairs. If there is a chance of rain, come prepared, as the concerts go ahead in the rain and there will also be free water stations on site.
