Highlands Festival of Speed
A mighty trans-Tasman battle is set to take place at Highlands Motorsport Park, when the hugely popular ENZED Central Muscle Cars take on the stars of the Australian Touring Car masters for the first time ever on NZ soil, at the ENZED Highlands Festival of Speed 2015.
From the 30th January – 1st February brace yourselves for three days of some of the most spectacular classic racing to be seen in New Zealand. Falcon GT’s, BOSS Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros, Chrysler Chargers, Holden Monaros and the giant-toppling Holden Torana’s are just some of the iconic muscle cars you’ll see racing over the weekend. And that’s not all, other categories competing over the weekend include Saloons, VCC, Sports and GT’s & Formula Libre as well as for the first time ever in New Zealand witness the unbeleivable action of the Aussie Racing Cars - the real Weekend Warriors!
Gibbston Valley Winery Summer Concert
This season the 2015 Gibbston Valley Winery Summer Concert, presented by Greenstone Entertainment, features classic Rock-and-Roll-Hall-of-Famers Heart, legendary rockers Foreigner and Three Dog Night performing on 31 January.

Hilux New Zealand Rural Games
The Hilux New Zealand Rural Games is a brand new family event bringing together a host of traditional sports and live entertainment to celebrate the country’s rural heritage.
With daily entertainment provided by comic duo The Topp Twins, the inaugural Games take place in downtown Queenstown over Waitangi weekend, Saturday and Sunday 7-8 February 2015.
The day before, Waitangi Day, more than 300 merino sheep will run through downtown Queenstown in a sight not seen for decades! Called the ‘Running of the Wools’, this event is free to watch anywhere along the route from Athol Street along Beach Street to Earnslaw Park. Don’t miss the action that starts at midday.
Back at the Games themselves there'll be a range of 'sports that built the nation' on show including national championships for speed shearing, sheep dog trials, speed fencing, gumboot throwing plus a feature event of the 2015 ANZ Young Farmer Contest, the Silver Fern Farms Agri-Sport Challenge and much more.
Trans-Tasman rivalry will sharpen with the ANZAXE Wood Chopping Championship whilst ‘bravehearts’ from both sides of the Ditch will also go head-to-head in the four heavy Highland Games disciplines of caber toss, stones, farmer’s walk and sheaf toss.
In addition to championship events there will be opportunities for spectators to have a go themselves. Under-12s can take part in Jetstar Kids 'n Country - a series of fun events just for them like cherry stone spitting and cow pat throwing!
A variety of food stalls offer delicious wild food and hearty country fare matched by cold beer and outstanding local wines. Adding to the flavour of the weekend, The Topp Twins also open a live concert on the Saturday evening headlined by country pop sensation, Jody Direen.

Motatapu Marathon 2015
Motatapu is an annual event including the Icebreaker Off Road Marathon, 15km arrowtown.com Miner's Trail Run and 51km R&R Sport Team Adventure Run and Solo Adventure Run.
The 42km Off Road Marathon and 51km Adventure Run start at Glendhu Bay, near Lake Wanaka and finish in Arrowtown. The 15km Miner's Run starts and ends in Arrowtown, following a trail mountain loop.
There are also mountain bike, off road triathlon and multisport events .

Gibbston Wine and Food Festival
Held on the 21st March 2015 in the Queenstown Gardens, The Gibbston Wine and Food Festival is produced by the wineries of the Gibbston, where they come together to showcase there award winning wines combined with local food.

2015 Millbrook Masters Golf Tournament
The 13th annual Millbrook Masters Golf Tournament will be staged at the 5-star Millbrook Resort from Sunday 12th April to Friday 17th April 2015.
The tournament is open to men and women golfers, aged 30+ and all handicaps. Competition is 4 rounds of stableford golf playing by handicap and age groups.

Highlands Race to the Sky
