The Food Show has grown to become New Zealand's annual must attend culinary event, with fabulous shows in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland attracting tens of thousands of visitors every year.
The Food Show is where everyone can come to taste and buy from a huge range of local and international foods, wines, beers, coffees, and much more. If it's edible and delicious, you'll find it at The Food Show.

Phantom of the Opera
The Phantom, at last, comes to Wellington
Far beneath the majesty and splendour of the Paris Opera House, hides the Phantom in a shadowy existence. Shamed by his physical appearance and feared by all, the love he holds for his beautiful protégée Christine Daaé is so strong that even her heart cannot resist.

Wellington Marathon
Sunday the 23rd of June, the streets and footpaths of Wellington will be taken over by runners. The 2013 Armstrong Motor Group Wellington Marathon starts at Westpac stadium and winds its way, past Rydges Wellington, and around the scenic waterfront.
This annual event has been running (no pun intended) for almost 30 years and has no intention of slowing down. An estimated 5000 runners will take part in the marathon, either participating in the full marathon, half, 10k or kids run.

Game of Things - Bats Theatre
The play 'Game of Things' is the "equally epic" parody of the unbelievably popular US television show, Game of Thrones. Performed at Bats Theatre, only a short distance from Rydges Wellington, the play is spilt into five episodes across five nights. Tune into all five or catch an just one or two.

Yes, Prime Minister
Adapted from the 1980's hit BBC television show, 'Yes, Minister', 'Yes, Prime Minister' features the same wit and deliciously awkward marriage between civil servants and politicians that made the orginal sitcom an instant success.
Onstage at the Wellington Opera House (only a short distance from Rydges Wellington) from 2nd July – 6th July, this is a slice of good ol' british comedy not to be missed.

Wellington on Plate showcases the very best of what the coolest culinary capital has to offer. This year, there are 113 events on the menu, including Rydges Wellington's very own Portlander Bar and Grill.

Beervana 2013
New Zealand's premier beer and food event for people who love the good life. Beervana is New Zealand's largest celebration of the craft of brewing, now in its 12th year. Held at the Westpac Stadium on the 9th and 10th of August, Rydges Wellington is the best place to be based, guaranted to be in the middle of the brew tasting action.
