Snow in Summer
In response to the Perth Winter Arts Festival, PAPER asked a number of gallery artists to respond to the theme of winter. This unseasonal theme during the UK summer, inspired the title 'Snow in Summer', and asks each artist to push the boundaries of their practice, conjuring representations of what 'winter' means to them.
PAPER is open every Saturday 11am-5pm. Entry is Free.

German cellist Alban Gerhardt joins WASO to perform Elgar's beloved Cello Concerto, voted No.5 on the ABC Classic 100 Concertos.
Gerhardt is renowned for his performances of Elgar's impassioned lament: "A simply breathtaking performance of the Elgar Cello Concerto...the German cellist had the audience under his spell..." (Express and Star, Birmingham). Australian conductor Simone Young's performances of Bruckner's symphonies are acclaimed worldwide and she brings her glorious interpretation of his Romantic Symphony to Perth for the first time.

Originally dedicated to Napoleon Bonaparte, and inspired by the French Revolution and the German Enlightenment, the Eroica is also a deeply personal portrait of the composer. The concert opens with the high-spirited Fourth Symphony, rich with sublime melodies and graceful energy.
