Whale watching is a great thing to do in port Macquarie and it’s easy to see whales frolicking in the ocean just off the coast. The Whale Watching season runs from April to November.

You can see the whales off the coast from land at the headlands or take a trip on one of the whale watching boats. The whale watching boats can be found docked along the foreshore of Port Macquaire a short walk from the hotel.


Port Macquarie Bottle Nosed Dolphins

Port Macquarie inlet and the Hastings River is home is a couple of pods of bottle nosed dolphin and can be seen daily swimming around the waters off Sails Resorts as well as from the Foreshore of Port Macquarie. You can also choose to take a dolphin cruise or see them from the shore from the foreshore.
