Todd McKenney 'Sings Peter Allen' at the Cube!
Todd McKenney is back on stage doing what he does best, singing the songs of Peter Allen. This very personal show is a celebration of Peter Allen's life. Todd was a huge fan growing up and became an even bigger fan in 1998 when he was asked to portray Peter in the smash hit musical 'The Boy From Oz'.
In this show there are plenty of Allen's hits as well as a healthy dose of backstage goss from not only 'The Boy From Oz' but also 'Dancing With The Stars'. You get two for the price of one in this show, Todd McKenney and Peter Allen! Todd has put together a show with his band that is purely based on fun, so sit back, relax, sing along, heckle if you like and have a great night. Rhonda's latest show, 'Legs 11', is a feel-good, musical biography of 25 years in the spotlight, set to an inspiring and fascinating backdrop of songs and stories that shaped her childhood, adolescence, early career and recent times.
Rhonda shares the journey; from the makeshift dance studio her dad built on the veranda of the family home, to her first 'disastrous' television appearance on the Mike Walsh Show at the age of nine, to the school eisteddfods where she honed her love of performing, to Her Majesty's Theatre in Sydney and London's West End.
As a young girl growing up in the Western Suburbs of Sydney, Rhonda never imagined that one day she would share the stage with stars such as Mickey Rooney, Ann Miller, Eddie Bracken and Anthony Newley. "Even to this day I sometimes can't quite believe it, but that's showbiz", says Rhonda, "and anything can happen".
