Hailing originally from Harlem, New York, hard-hitting natural born lyricist Azealia Banks is the personification of cool – So much so in fact, that amongst her many accolades she topped NME’s “Cool List” in 2011. With a much anticipated new album on the way, Azealia Banks released the “1991” EP featuring the hit “212”. Now this provocative lady of the moment is set to deliver a hot and heavy run of shows ahead of her performances on Future Music Festivals. Her forthcoming full length album, ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’ is coming soon through Interscope Records.
Miss Banks has a way of fusing street sensibility with a musical sophistication, the result of which is pure alchemy that reflects years of classical training and quite frankly a whole lot of talent. Each of her offerings has thus far provided us with a glimpse of the vibrancy and versatility that Azealia brings to her music, hinting at the range her full-length debut album will reveal.
