St George Leagues Club

St George Leagues Club is not far from Sydney Airport on the Princes Highway at Kogarah.  Established fifty years ago, St George was the first of the super Leagues Clubs developed in the 1960’s and was given the nickname the Taj Mahal because of the extensive use of white marble in the building. Very little of the original design survives today after extensive refurbishing and redesigning of the entire club to make it one of the most superbly fitted clubs in Australia.

There’s a luxurious foyer, lounge areas, dining options, gaming and live entertainment.  The ground floor Premiers Lounge is home to football memorabilia commemorating St George’s achievements in Rugby League. The Premiers is the place for a quiet drink during the day or some relaxing live music in the evening. Also on the ground floor is the popular Bistro serving up good food at competitive prices, and the Bistro Café as well as Crown Dragon Chinese on the first floor.  There’s live music on Friday and Saturday nights and jazz from 3:00pm to 6:00pm on the second Sunday of each month.
