Rydges appointed as management company for World Square Sydney.
On Friday 02 March 2007 Rydges was appointed the operator of The Avillion Hotel in Sydney. The hotel was recently purchased by The Schwartz Family Company, owners of a number of hotels in the Sydney and Melbourne precincts. Rydges will assume management of the hotel on Monday 12 March 2007. The hotel will be operated under the brand Rydges World Square Sydney.
Rydges Hotels and Resorts are delighted to be appointed the operator after an extensive selection process.
This will see the Rydges Brand firmly back in the Sydney marketplace at a time when hotel occupancies and rates are strengthening.
Rydges World Square will encompass 445 guest rooms and suites, a restaurant and bar, gymnasium, and meeting facilities.
The hotel will offer all the services and facilities that one would expect of a 5 star hotel, whether travelling for business or leisure.
The hotel is centrally located in the fast developing business precinct of World Square, at the southern end of the CBD.
The World Square retail plaza is directly accessible from the hotel.
