Some nations have an ‘old’ Parliament House, very few, if any, have a restaurant contained within of the standard of the ginger room. Chef Janet Jeff’s impeccable culinary track record is beautifully demonstrated in a subtle contemporary menu with the occasional nod to Asian fusion techniques. Situated in the sumptuous members’ dining room, dating from the 1920’s, service is almost as refined as the physical surrounds. The wine list is great and patrons can choose dishes from within a fixed two or three-course format at surprisingly egalitarian pricing.
