A real slice of Melbourne and a 'hidden' treasure to boot. Located in a basement tucked away down in an faceless laneway is the wonderful 'Mini', a modern Greek marvel of a restuarant.
Given that a fair proption of the city can trace its lineage back to Greece, the citys denizens are certainly most appreciative of chef Perry Peters modern take on the most 'classical' of cuisines. The decor is subtle and warm whilst the food which is both hearty and heartfelt.
Make sure you leave enough room for desert , the honey doughnuts with pistachio ice cream are worth a repeat visit on thier own. The wine list also contains more than a few gems.
