The initial hype might have faded, but the Gin Palace with its Hollywood style opulence is still THE place in town for that James Bond moment. With an awesome range of cocktails, it still serves the best Martini in Melbourne, shaken not stirred, of course, since Sean Connery played 007. The cocktail lounge mystique is all pervasive and it attracts an upmarket set of social butterflies, but it’s still a firm favourite.
