Much has been written detailing and praising Melbourne’s multicultural and cosmopolitan makeup. During the 1950s and 1960s the city saw the arrival of many Greeks and Italians whilst the 1970s witnessed the growth of the Vietnamese community. A microcosm and reflection of this migration is the well worn, but much loved espresso bar, Pellegrini’s. Not much has changed since within this true institution since 1950s; it still serves large portions of Italian comfort food and the best coffee this side of the Trevi Fountain.
It’s always packed and we love it.
