National Gallery of Victoria (International) 180 St Kilda Road, Melbourne
National Gallery of Victoria (Australia) Federation Square, Corner of Russell and Flinders Streets
Housed in two separate locations, but within an easy stroll of each other, the National Galleries of Victoria have an amazing collection of International and Australian Art. The International focuses upon all major European schools and has diverse works from artists ranging from Francis Bacon to Rembrandt
The Ian Potter Centre is located in the nearby Federation Square complex, whose funky angular architecture is seen by some as a work of art in itself. The centre has a collection of over 20,000 Australian works, which include some of this nation’s finest indigenous artists. The centre is also renowned for its eclecticism and often-groundbreaking visiting exhibitions
