Sunset at Cottersloe Beach

Ipod friendly guides | Email to a friend | Print article

If you’d like really to blend in with the locals, ‘lose the tie and the attitude’, put on a pair of ‘swimmers” and head off to the beach. Perth is rightly fabled for its beaches including Scarborough, Floreat and City Beaches, but for us the pick of the bunch is Cottersloe Beach.
Located about 15 minutes drive from the CBD, it’s usually more sheltered and protected than other beach locations due to the breakwall at the southern end. Go for a swim, top up the tan or grab a drink or something to eat from the many pubs and cafes.
Truly one of life’s most simple pleasures is watching the sunset over Cottesrsloe from a vantage point on a grass bank behind the sand with some fish and chips, a beer and some good friends
