This historic hotel that dates from 1887 managed to survive the devastating bushfires of 1994 only to succumb to an all-consuming blaze started by an internal electrical fault in 1996. The hotel, which was completely destroyed, has been rebuilt to its former grandeur and is once again a focal point for the local community. Heritage listed, great views across picturesque Scylla Bay, a really good restaurant, a large bar with concertina windows, and outside deck designed to catch the breeze, make this friendly pub a real local drawcard.
