Harry's Cafe de Wheels

Once rather uncharitably described as ‘meat pies in a caravan’, Harry’s Café de Wheels is a venerable Sydney institution. Over a 60-year period, this simple pie cart has grown to its current ‘Winnebago-esqe’ proportions by serving generations seeking a ‘pie fix’. Patrons range from media magnates, Oscar winning actors, taxi drivers to drag queens. All gather until very late in the evening to sample a traditional pie floater, an inspired fusion of meat pie and mushy peas.
