Tucked away in the exclusive suburb of Vaucluse, this little gem is part of the Sydney Harbour National Park. Don’t be perturbed by the shark net, it’s more designed to stop pleasure boats from encroaching on this sheltered beach than to keep out any ‘monsters of the deep’. There is a small beach and large lawned area, which attracts plenty of picnickers. If you don’t fancy a swim, you can get lunch or a take away coffee from the Kiosk, sit back and soak up the views across the harbour. The heritage listed Vaucluse House built in 1828 is also close by and well worth a look.
