Sabaya Sling

A tropical celebration- perfect for a welcome.

Your evening begins poolside, where vibrant coloured lighting up the palm trees and gardens hints at what is to come...

After guests have enjoyed a drink and maybe a canapé, the sound of a thudding drum beat heralds two dynamic fire performers who dance and twirl, leading guests through the resort to dinner.

Dinner features stunning table centrepieces of fruit and flower installations and multi coloured silk drapes to break up the room, flushed with rainbow colour and rainbow silk drapes. Buffets would be great for this informal evening which could be held Poolside or The Sakinah House Restaurant or the Grand Ballroom.

During dinner, depending on the venue chosen activities and entertainment could continue to flow throughout dinner.

After dinner has been served, guests move to the Grand Ballroom (or the Ballroom doors open to reveal a nightclub on the other side) where they find a nightclub has been set up for them with a DJ and bar to rock the night away!

Additions to this night include
  • Giant (5 feet to 8 feet) colourful weather balloons tailing rope lighting for fantastic effect inside or out.
  • Standalone fruit and flower sculptures
  • Cane Toad racing & Aussie Games (Thong tossing, Two up etc)
  • Fruit and Flower Stiltwalkers to add colour and movement

It’s RED Hot!!!

A great party night for the tropics...

Guests arrive at pre-dinner drinks – they are offered a chilli cosmopolitan to warm them up a bit…and a pair of devil horns!!

They know dinner is near when they hear the sounds of music - the Spice Girls ‘Spice up your Life”...coming from the Grand Ballroom...then doors are opened in a flourish and in they charge!

The room is flushed with warm red lighting (of course), with bolts of scarlet fabric hanging off the walls, and some from the ceiling – like great flames hanging down. The tables feature incredible sculptural installations of red hot chillies! On the back of each chair a bolt of red satin is draped, each one different.

Yes it’s HOT!!

And it is going to get hotter…the MC arrives on stage to announce some fun and games. Who can eat their table centrepeice? Make the best outfit out of the chair cover sash (they are assorted shapes and sizes to make it more interesting) before the dancing competition begins for the hottest couple on the floor.

During the dance off, our dancers are regularly showered with scarlet flutter fetti...just to ensure they keep moving!!

Venues – PDD – poolside or outside ballroom, Dinner – Ballroom/Sakinah House/Lotus Lounge.

The Crystal Blue

An elegant Gala event with plenty of surprises

Our evening of underwater mystery and adventure begins as guests return to their rooms that afternoon. In a fish bowl in each room is a little Nemo (not real) swimming about and a transparent note in the water inviting them to dinner.

After Pre Dinner drinks in the lobby, where they are entertained by some roaming light hearted musicians, no hint of the evening to come.

Entering the ballroom beams of light twist and pan through the haze as dappled intelligent lighting creates a stunning water effect across the tables and the room in deep blues and aqua.

Just near the entrance a stunning mermaid slowly and gracefully juggles “floating” crystal bubbles from a tiny grotto as guests wander past… simply magic.

A magical world inside as a thick mist swirls around the feet of guests as they enter…Stunning moving scrolling aqua lights pans the room with a watery dappled effect other light beams cut through the slight haze and bouncing off bubbles and shimmering fabrics that line sections of the area in this ethereal and mysterious environment.

The white draped walls feature clusters of “tube coral” with gently bobbing bubbles. From the ceiling dangles shimmering mylar, billowing gently in the air conditioning, hanging like silvery tendrils against a plethora of real bubbles.

On the ocean floor, the tables are covered with white, with an overlay of silken gossamer on which sits a pyramid sculpture of martini glasses filled with pale blue water, with white chair covers. And the final touch – a sea nymph playing in a swing at one end.

The menus, one for each guest, are a shimmer of pearlescent paper, edged in twinkling blue and tied with mother of pearl fabric. This is truly spectacular! Guests find their seats for their showcase dinner of the finest Australian seafood and wines.

After dinner, the sound of a fabulous voice at the back of the ballroom...guests turn to see a very glamorous girl in an evening dress singing “I like the way you Move…” as she sashays through the tables, she is joined by a man who sings in harmony with her…interacting with the guests as they go. They both move through the tent, the tempo building and as they come to the front of the dining area, white drapes fall to the floor revealing a band and dance floor behind with a seven piece band. As the song crescendos, silver glitter cannons erupt across them and everyone hits the dance floor.
