All bookings are subject to availability. Points will not be awarded for cancelled bookings or bookings made on or amended to Non-Eligible Room Rates. Reward Points will be processed upon check out and may take up to ten working days to appear on member’s online membership profile. 1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 About these terms
These terms are for the Rydges PriorityGUEST Program. Your participation in this program will be governed by these terms and conditions. It is a Member’s responsibility to read and understand them. We ask that you read them carefully.

1.2 When these terms apply to you
These terms apply to you if you are a Member of the Rydges PriorityGUEST Program. Use of your Membership Card or your Membership Number signifies your acceptance of the current terms.

1.3 Changes from time to time
Rydges Hotels may amend these terms and conditions, including benefits of the Program, from time to time.

1.4 Types of memberships
There are two types of membership available that you may be eligible for:
a. Rydges PriorityGUEST and
b. Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST

The criteria for Membership is set out below.

1.5 Cost
Members do not have to pay to join the Rydges PriorityGUEST Program.

1.6 Membership profile
A Member can update their membership profile online at www.rydges.com/priorityguest

1.7 Participating Hotels
At any point in time not all Rydges Hotels may be Participating Hotels. Where a hotel is not a Participating Hotel, the Member benefits, including the ability to accrue Rydges Rewards points, will not apply. Members should check at www.rydges.com/priorityguest for the current listing of Participating Hotels.

2 MEMBERSHIP
2.1 General Criteria
A person can only be a Member of the Rydges PriorityGUEST Program if that person meets the following criteria:
a. Rydges Hotels has approved your membership application (in its sole discretion);
b. you must reside in a country that permits the participation in a program like the Rydges PriorityGUEST Program.

2.2 Criteria for Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST
To become a Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST, you must book and stay on a qualifying rate at participating hotels a certain number of nights or stays in a calendar year as specified by Rydges Hotels. To maintain the status of a Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST you must continue to stay a certain number of nights or stays at participating hotels in subsequent calendar years as specified by Rydges Hotels.

2.3 Only individuals
You can only use your Membership as an individual. The Rydges PriorityGUEST Program does not provide a combined membership for families, groups, companies, trusts, partnerships, other entities, government departments or agencies. Individual members of families or groups, or employees of a corporation or other entity can only be Members in their capacity as an individual.

2.4 Term of Membership
The term of Membership is from the date of enrolment until either:
a. termination of Membership by the Member or
b. termination of Membership by Rydges Hotels.

3 PROGRAM BENEFITS
3.1 Introduction
a. This section sets out the Program Benefits that are available to Members from time to time
b. Rydges Hotels does not guarantee or warrant that any or all of the benefits or privileges of the Program will be available at all times. Rydges Hotels reserves the right to change, modify, limit or cancel any of the Program benefits at any time. This includes increasing or decreasing any requirements for a reward, changing the value of rewards or limiting the availability of rewards. This also includes changing the locations served by the Program or changing Program Partners.
c. The Program Benefits will only be available where the Member presents the Membership Card or provides their name and Membership number when making a booking or when requested by Rydges staff or a Program Partner at the time that the Member wishes to obtain the benefit.
d. Where a Member is staying with a participating hotel as part of an airline or transport crew arrangement or as part of a convention or conference group, sporting team, education group or other group booking, the Member Benefits may not be available. Members may confirm in advance or at the time of check–in if their stay is eligible for benefits.
e. Certain Member Benefits are not available to Members who are staying at a participating hotel on a Free Room Night. In particular, Members will not earn Rydges Reward Points on such stays.
f. The full range of Member Benefits will only be available if the Member provides adequate membership details and makes their reservation at a participating hotel using one of the following methods:
(i) Online at www.rydges.com or
(ii) through a customised web page that Rydges Hotels has set up.
g. To avoid doubt, this means that where a Member has made a reservation through a travel website (other than www.rydges.com), a travel agent, a phone booking direct with the hotel or with Rydges central reservations, or via email, that Member will not be eligible to receive certain Member Benefits with the associated stay. In particular, Members will not earn Rydges Reward Points on such stays, the stay will not count towards qualification for Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST and the member will not be eligible to receive the special member room rate (usually 10% off the best available non-member online rate).

3.2 Member Benefits at Participating Hotels
a. Special reduced Member Rates: Members may usually receive a special room rate when booking hotel stays online at www.rydges.com, by simply selecting specially marked Rydges PriorityGUEST rates.
b. Room preferences: Rydges Hotels will use its reasonable commercial endeavours to allocate a room to a Member that is consistent with the Member’s preference, as recorded in the Member’s membership information.
c. Late check-out: Rydges PriorityGUEST Members may request a late check-out of 1pm. Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST Members may request a late check-out of 3pm. Late check-out must be requested at least 12 hours prior to scheduled departure
d. Special rates for high speed internet: Members will initially receive a 50% discount on the full daily rate for wired in room high speed internet access, where available. This may vary in future. Please check current applicable rates at www.rydges.com/priorityguest.
e. Discount on food and beverage bills: Rydges PriorityGUEST Members can receive a 20% discount on bills for food and beverage costs when drinking and or dining at the participating Rydges Hotels’ restaurants or bars. Members that are Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST Members can receive a 50% discount on bills for their food and beverage costs when they drink or dine in the participating Rydges Hotels’ restaurants or bars.
The discount on food and beverage bills will only apply where:
(i) The Member is present at the time;
(ii) there are 10 or less people dining at the table;
(iii) there is a single bill and
(iv) the Member presents their Membership Card when the bill is presented, prior to payment or room charge.
The Member discount on food and beverage does not apply to mini bar, breakfast service, in-room dining or conference and meeting room catering.
f. Welcome Back Beverage: With each stay a member may have a complimentary beverage in the hotel restaurant or bar during that stay. The range of beverages available is at the discretion of Rydges Hotels and in certain countries may be limited to respect local tradition or law.
g. Rydges Best Rate (RBR) is the price based on the arrival/departure and length-of-stay pattern for specific dates of stay (and are unique to the time of purchase). RBR rates are unrestricted, non-qualified rates, and exclude discount or negotiated rates not available to the general public, including but not limited to, membership, corporate, or government rates, promotional rates, group rates, packages, or other unpublished rates, and rates available on “opaque” websites.

3.3 Rydges Reward Points
a. A Member will receive Rydges Reward Points for each eligible Hotel Room Night booked on a qualifying rate. Rydges PriorityGUEST members will receive ten points per eligible Hotel Room Night. Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST members will receive fifteen points per eligible hotel Room Night. (“Rydges Reward Points”). Rydges Reward Points may be redeemed by a Member for certain rewards. The rewards that are available from time to time and the number of Rydges Reward Points required to redeem those rewards are set out at www.rydges.com/priorityguest.
b. If more than one Member stays in a room, only one Member can accrue the Rydges Reward Points for that stay.
c. If a member books, pays in their name and is a guest in one of the rooms, they may earn Rydges Reward Points for up to three rooms for any night stay.
d. Subject to clause 3.3(g), Rydges Reward Points cannot be transferred to another Member or refunded for cash. Once Rydges Reward Points have been redeemed for a reward, the redemption cannot be reversed. That is, the points cannot be refunded.
e. If a Member wishes to use their Rydges Reward Points for a Free Room Night, the Member acknowledges that the Free Room Night is subject to availability. Room inventory available for Rydges Reward Point redemption is limited and once booked at any hotel on any given night, additional Free Room Nights will not be made available. Members should plan and book their Free Room Night redemptions well in advance to ensure the greatest possibility of securing their preferred Free Room Night dates.
f. A Member may book sequential Free Room Nights, subject to having sufficient points to do so and subject to availability of rooms for Free Room Nights on desired dates. Members may also book a Free Room Night that is immediately prior to or after a non-Free Room Night stay.
g. If a Member books a Free Room Night with a Participating Hotel and prior to using the Free Room Night that hotel is no longer a participating Hotel, Rydges Hotels will use reasonable efforts to have the hotel honour the reservation. However Rydges cannot guarantee that in this instance the Free Room Night will be honoured and if not your Rydges Reward Points will be credited to your membership account.
h. For points to remain active, the member must have a points earning activity in the prior 36 months. As such, if there is no activity for a period of 36 months, then any points earned more than 36 months previously will expire.

3.4 Offers from Program Partners
From time to time, a Member may be able to receive a special offer from a Program Partner by presenting the Membership Card or providing their name and membership number to the relevant Program Partner when purchasing the particular goods or services. The special offers and the Program Partners may change from time to time and may be subject to availability. Rydges Hotels does not accept any liability for the special offers, which are the sole responsibility of the third party making the offer.

3.5 Rydges Smartvisit Rewards
Members may receive discounts and earn Smartvisit Reward points at certain outlets. Accumulated Rydges Smartvisit Rewards may be redeemed towards the cost of future stays or food and beverage accounts as determined by Rydges from time to time. Rydges Smartvisit Rewards Solutions Pty Ltd is a party independent of Rydges Hotels Ltd. Rydges accepts no responsibility or liability for the offers or rewards offered under Rydges Smartvisit Rewards.

3.6 Frequent Flyer points and miles
Any Rydges guest may earn airline points/miles on selected room rates. For the latest information as to the airlines on which points/miles may be earned see www.rydges.com. Members may check at time of reservation and/or at check-in if airline points/miles can be earned on their booking. Program Members may be able to earn both Rydges Reward Points and airline points/miles on the same hotel stay. Members should check if their stay is eligible for Frequent Flyer Points at check-in. If so, they must provide their Frequent Flyer number or Frequent Flyer membership card at check-in.

4 MEMBERSHIP CARD
4.1 Rydges Hotels to issue Member with a Membership Card
Following Rydges accepting a Member’s application for Membership, Rydges Hotels will provide the Member with a Membership Card.

4.2 Not transferable
The Membership Card is not transferable and must not be used by any person other than the Member to secure any of the benefits of the program.

4.3 Security of Membership Card
The Member must keep the Membership Card secure at all times. If the Membership Card is lost or stolen, the Member must immediately advise Rydges Hotels. Rydges Hotels shall be entitled to assume that any person that purports to be a Member and provides (whether in person or through any electronic, telecommunications or other media) the Membership name and number to Rydges Hotels is in fact the Member. Rydges shall be entitled to:
– reveal to any such person any and all information relating to their Membership and Membership bookings, and
– treat and act on any request of such a person with respect to any other matter regarding the Program without taking any further steps to verify the identity of the person.

4.4 Membership Card for Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST
a. Each Member that is a Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST will receive a card that is distinct from the card that Rydges PriorityGUESTs receive. Such cards have an expiry date on them and after that expiry date, the card will not be valid.
b. If, after the expiry date of the Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST card the Member still meets the criteria to be a Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST, Rydges Hotels will provide the Member with a new Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST card. If the Member does not meet the criteria to be retained as a Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST, the Member will be issued with a Membership card for a Rydges PriorityGUEST.
c. The Member’s existing balance of Rydges Reward Points is retained if and when a Member changes status from Rydges PriorityGUEST to Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST or vice versa.

4.5 Replacement of lost or stolen membership cards
Members will be charged a fee of $10 for the replacement of lost or stolen membership cards to cover the administration, postage and handling costs.

5 ACTIVATION OF MEMBERSHIP
5.1 When Membership is active
a. If an individual has completed an online application form and their Membership has been accepted by Rydges Hotels, the individual will be provided with an online version of a Membership Card and associated details. Once an individual has this, the individual will be classified as a Member and can use the Membership Card to obtain certain benefits and earn Rydges Reward Points.
b. If a member submits an application for membership by a means other than online, they will be forwarded by mail a Member’s Welcome Kit. That kit will include their Membership Card and the detailed terms and conditions of Membership. It is the responsibility of the member to read and accept the terms and conditions of membership prior to usage of their membership card. If they do not wish to accept the terms and conditions of the Membership they should advise Rydges Hotels in writing and return the card to Rydges Hotels.
c. Regardles of the method of enrolment, use of either a temporary or membership card or membership number will constitute the acceptance of the terms and conditions of the program.

5.2 Provision of Membership Card
Rydges Hotels will aim to send the Member a Membership Card within 21 days of enrolment. If a Member has not received their card within this time, the Member should contact Rydges Hotels.

5.3 Use of accurate Member details
A Member must accurately record or quote their membership name and number as it appears on the Membership Card when making hotel bookings or seeking to secure other benefits in order to receive the Program Benefits. If they do not, or any third party making a booking on their behalf does not, Rydges cannot ensure that the Program Benefits will be received by the Member.

6 TERMINATION AND LIABILITY
6.1 Misuse of Membership
If in Rydges Hotels reasonable opinion, a Member is using their Membership in an abusive or fraudulent way, Rydges Hotels may:
a. immediately terminate the Membership or
b. suspend a Membership temporarily until further notice or
c. reverse or cancel any Rydges Reward Points that a Member has accrued or
d. refuse to honour the redemption of Rydges Reward Points.

6.2 Termination on death
On the death of a Member, the Membership will automatically terminate.

6.3 Termination without cause
Rydges Hotels may terminate the Rydges PriorityGUEST Program at any time without cause.

6.4 Consequences of termination
All benefits, offers and rewards will be forfeited on termination of a Membership or termination of the Rydges PriorityGUEST Program. Rydges Hotels will have no further liability to any Member on termination of the Member’s membership.

6.5 Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
a. Rydges Hotels is not liable to a Member for any indirect or consequential loss arising from negligence or breach of contract and
b. the maximum liability of Rydges Hotels whether for breach of this Agreement or in tort (including negligence) is $10.

7 GENERAL
7.1 Governing law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws in force in New South Wales. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that place.

7.2 Tax liability
Rewards and offers that are available to Members from time to time may be subject to tax liability. The Member is responsible for those taxes.

8 DEFINITION
Free Room Night means where a Member stays at a participating hotel using Rydges Reward Points or on a complimentary stay and is not required to pay for the cost of the room. A Free Room Night using Rydges Reward Points covers the cost of a standard double room only. It does not include breakfast and does not cover other costs such as laundry, telephone, meals and drinks. Such costs will need to be paid by the Member.

Hotel Benefits means the Program Benefits for Members set out in clause 3.

Hotel Room Night and Hotel Stay: A “Hotel Room Night” means each individual night of a stay at a participating hotel. A “Hotel Stay” means all consecutive nights that a member stays at a participating hotel – even if they have checked out and checked back in for consecutive nights. For example:
– if a guest stays for five consecutive nights this will be recorded as one “Hotel Stay” and five “Hotel Room Nights” or
– if a guest stays for one night only, this will be counted as both one “Hotel Stay” and one “Hotel Room Night”.
– if a guest stays for one night, then checks out, then checks back in to stay for the subsequent night and then checks out this will be recorded as one “Hotel Stay” and two “Hotel Room Nights”.

Member means an individual who has received a Membership Number for use in the Rydges PriorityGUEST Program.

Membership means membership of the Rydges PriorityGUEST Program.

Membership Card means the card (or temporary online card) that is provided to the Member by Rydges Hotels.

Membership Number means the number that is provided when an individual enrols as a Member of the Rydges PriorityGUEST Program.

Participating Hotel means a Rydges Hotel that is participating in the Rydges PriorityGUEST Program.

Program Benefits means the benefits for Members set out in clause 3.

Qualifying Rate means a specially marked Rydges PriorityGUEST Member rate that must be booked online via www.rydges.com.

Program Partner means a third party partner that has entered into an agreement with Rydges Hotels to provide Members with certain special offers.

Rydges Hotels means Rydges Hotels Limited

Rydges PriorityGUEST Program means the program that rewards loyal guests at Participating Hotels.

Rydges Platinum PriorityGUEST means a Member of the Rydges PriorityGUEST Program that is qualified to be a Platinum Priority Guest at a particular point of time.

Rydges PriorityGUEST means a person that is a standard Member of the Rydges PriorityGUEST Program at a particular point of time.

Rydges Reward Points has the meaning given to it in clause 3.3.
