Concert ian 10/11/2013

There are some big names heading the way of the Albury Entertainment Centre.  On Thursday, November 14, the Guitar Wizard of Oz, legendary Tommy Emmanuel is doing his first regional centre tour in over a decade.  With Tommy, less is more – there’s no need to clutter the stage and the speakers with other instruments, vocals and effects – all you need is Tommy and his guitar, live and acoustic…

Trivia quiz… How many years has Smokie been singing about Living Next Door to Alice and what was the name of the Aussie vocal harmony that first released it… answer in a sec but Smokie has been around for a while and has amassed an amazing throng of fans worldwide – nit just in the US, UK and Europe but also Scandinavia, South Africa and China, simply because they are great live rockers who deliver rasping, emotional vocals and melodies. Oh… and Smokie’s biggest hit was released in 1972 by Australian band, New World… Smokie plays the Ent Centre on Saturday, November 23… I’m not sure if audience participation as to who Alice actually is will be encouraged…

And best get in quick for what will be a sell-out at the Centre on Sunday, January 19 when Jessica Mauboy brings her To The End Of The Earth Tour to town. Over to Jess… "I am incredibly pumped to be getting out and performing again. It's so exciting to be sharing all my new music and I can't wait for everyone to hear it all. I am going to take you on a whole other journey!"
