The annual Preston Market cook off was again a huge success, with two of our very own Chefs, Tony and Michelle, teaming up with Northern Blues Football Club players in the ultimate test of speed, skill, and taste mastery!
Just a stones throw away from Bell City, The Preston Market is the gem of Melbourne’s inner north. All under cover, with alleys to explore in all directions, the market is full of food, fashion and variety stores, with shoppers guaranteed to find a bargain.
The cook off was the busiest year yet, with strong crowds, and discerning taste judges being selected straight from the audience.
Located just off High Street, in the heart of Preston’s vibrant shopping precinct, the market pays homage to its multicultural location by hosting a wide variety of unique ingredients. Mix this with a healthy variety of fresh produce suppliers competing for your business, and you are in home chef heaven!
This year’s creations included:
Pan fried salmon with celeriac puree, pickled radish & orange salad
Scotch fillet served with horseradish potato puree, mushroom & shallot ragout with heirloom tomatoes
