Annnnnnnd… ACTION! The 2014 Little Big Shots Film Festival is an international film festival for kids and screenings happen at the National Film and Sound Archive in Canberra from 11 to 18 July. It will be movie watchers’ heaven with 108 of the best local and international short films and animation collections on screen. For bookings phone 6248 2000.

The festival is turning ten years old this year and the program includes amazing short films made for kids, about kids and some made by kids from 30 countries around the world. There are shorts and packages aimed at all age groups from as young as two or three to teens to grown-up adults.

The inspiring, meaningful and fun-filled films cross a world of cultures, languages and human values – the aim is to stimulate children into thinking, creating, laughing and just soaking in and enjoying the experience.

Little Big Shots has become its own not-for-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the media literacy of young people, fostering children's creativity and showcasing the very best in filmmaking for, by and about kids – it now stands as Australia’s only major stand-alone kids’ film festival.

If you are coming from out of town for the Little Big Shots Film Festival, Rydges Capital Hill can look after all your accommodation needs and is a great places to just drop in for a meal, drink or snack.
