Crocosaurus Cove and the Cage of Death
They call it Darwin’s ultimate urban wildlife experience. Located in the heart of Darwin city, Crocosaurus Cove has the world’s largest display of Australian reptiles and allows visitors a unique, up close and personal view Saltwater Crocodiles.
You can slip on the bathers and “Swim with the Crocs”, jump on the “Fishing for Crocs” platform and smile for the camera holding a baby Saltwater Crocodile. There’s also Barramundi, Sawfish & Whiprays in the 200,000 litre fresh water aquarium and the Top End Turtle enclosure.
Crocosaurus Cove is also home to the Cage of Death - the only cage in the world that can take you face to face with some of the largest Saltwater Crocodiles in captivity. And give a thought for the poor crocs – it must be such a tease to have all that lunch dropped into the pond and not be able to taste it!
