A real mixed bag looking at what’s on at the Darwin Entertainment Centre for the rest of June - tantalising burlesque, comedy with Dave Hughes, the Wiggles and bull riding - thankfully in different performances!

Darwin Entertainment CentreOn Saturday, June 14 there’s the Australian Burlesque Festival in The Playhouse – a night of adults only glitz, glamour, tantalising tease and sizzling cabaret from the best of local and international burlesque performers.

Saturday, June 21 is also recommended for adults when Dave Hughes brings his Pointless stand up show to The Playhouse. Followers of The Project on Ten will know that his cheeky little gap-toothed smile has been missing in action for a while – he has given up TV and radio to pick up again on his true passion – live stand-up comedy and according to the Herald Sun’s review he hasn’t forgotten how to do it – “The audience was in absolute stitches.”

WigglesIt is safe to let the kiddies loose at the Ent Centre of Sunday, June 22 (10:00am, 12:30pm and 3:00pm) and Monday, June 23 (10:00am because it is The Wiggles! Blue Wiggle Anthony and new line-up Emma, Lachy and Simon take to the stage with their Apples and Bananas tour. Also at The Playhouse…

And, on Saturday, June 28 the Darwin Professional Bull Rider Touring Pro happens, not in The Playhouse, but at the Robbie Robbins Reserve, Stuart Highway, Berrimah – gates open at 5:30pm.
