THE RYDGES POST

This Friday, August 9, sees the official launch of the 2013 Bledisloe Cup Festival on the forecourt of the Museum of Sydney (Corner of Bridge and Phillip Streets).  Admission is free and rugby fans can meet current Wallabies players and past heroes plus get up close with the historic silverware that has meant so much to players and followers on both sides of the ditch since 1932.

The Museum of Sydney will have an exhibition, The Magic of Bledisloe, looking back at the memorabilia and memories – open from 9:30am to 5:00pm daily until August 18 – entry to the exhibition is free.

The final game in Bledisloe 2012 was a nail-biting 18 all draw and with the Brumbies making the final in the Super Rugby, the momentum might be just right to break the 11 year drought for the Qantas Wallabies!

The first game is on at ANZ Stadium on Saturday, August 17 and the second at Wellington’s Westpac Stadium on Saturday, August 24. Rydges Parramatta and Rydges Bankstown are handy to ANZ Stadium for anyone travelling from out of town requiring accommodation. Rydges Sydney Airport is perfect for anyone flying in and Rydges Wellington is a walk to Westpac Stadium.
