Kalgoorlie Boulder is a vibrant, exciting twin city is the hub at the heart of the WA Goldfields and it has become one of the country’s most popular self-drive holiday destinations. Located 600km kilometres east-northeast of Perth at the end of the Great Eastern Highway it is an easy and enjoyable drive.

Once in Kalgoorlie Boulder, the Visitor Centre can be located at the corner of Hannan and Wilson Streets, Kalgoorlie.

There are many fascinating tourist attractions that have arisen because of over a century of goldmining history. The architecture is stunning, the restaurants are fabulous and the pubs wonderful (even the ones that don't have barmaids sporting 'skimpies').

Mining is the largest industry in the region and its presence is evident wherever you go. Today, gold is Australia’s third biggest export commodity and you can gain some insights into the region’s modern gold mining operations by taking a tour of the incredible super-sized Super Pit.

Walk the streets of Kalgoorlie Boulder and you will be taken on a journey of discovery and then relax a while in peaceful and picturesque Hammond Park, Karlkurla Bushland Park or the Kalgoorlie Arboretum.

Oh, and of course Rydges Kalgoorlie Resort & Spa offers a terrific accommodation option!
