THE RYDGES POST
Melbourne has been named the world’s most liveable city for the third year in a row in the Economist Intelligence Unit Survey. In the review of 140 cities, Victoria’s capital was given perfect scores for health care, education and infrastructure. In no great surprise the world’s least liveable city is Damascus in Syria.
Sydney, Adelaide and Perth made the Top Ten so all in all Australia is a pretty good place to live – as is Canada, taking out three of the top five places. The Top Ten were Melbourne, Vienna, Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Adelaide, Sydney, Helsinki, Perth and Auckland. Of course Rydges has hotels in five of those top ten cities - Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Perth and Auckland.
