THE RYDGES POST
Qantas has announced it will increase its services between Queenstown and Sydney during the Easter school holidays and peak ski season. This will bring the weekly service to five flights for Easter and then daily flights during the ski season through to end October.
The additional services start on April 7 and finish on 24 October 2014. The amended schedule is as follows:
- 7 April – 2 May: 5 per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- 3 May– 4 June: 3 per week (Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday)
- 6 June – 02 July: 4 per week (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- 4 July – 24 October: Daily
Qantas also operates a weekly Queenstown – Brisbane service on Saturdays during the peak ski season from 28 June to 27 September.
Qantas CEO International Simon Hickey said the additional services would meet increased demand over Queenstown’s busiest periods. “Qantas will add more than 650 seats each week and the additional services will mean greater flexibility and a premium experience for our customers travelling to Queenstown during the ski season,” said Mr Hickey.
And, of course, for all you accommodation needs in Queenstown, Rydges Lakeland Resort will give you a warm welcome and take care of all your accommodation needs.
