Following huge success in 2013, the Perth International Jazz Festival (PIJF) returns to the city for one weekend only from 9 - 11 May 2014.
There will be lots of incredible jazz performances across venues throughout Perth. With top line acts, the three-day festival is a blend of ticketed and free community events, showcasing a host of celebrated local, national and international jazz artists.
Headlining the 2014 program is our own ARIA-award winning musical ‘treasure’, Kate Ceberano who will be accompanied by the PIJF All-Star Big Band. Festival highlights also include contemporary jazz musician, Greg Osby, from the USA (right), jazz guitarist Peter Bernstein (also from the USA), multi award winning vocalist Kristin Berardi from Brisbane and Thirsty Merc front-man, Rai Thistlethwayte.
There will be jazz jam sessions, jazz for the kids and jazz with high tea. Much of the action happens at the Perth Cultural Centre as well as in bars, clubs and other venues around the city.
