Queenstown is a world class wine destination and the region is home to some 75 wineries that produce a wide range of wine varieties. Having said that Queenstown and the nearby Gibbston Valley are famous for award-winning Pinot Noir.

The good folk who work in tourism in this part of the world understand that wine can enhance all sorts of activities… while some will be content to enjoy a drop over a meal in a café or restaurant, others may visit the cellar doors for tastings or kick back for the food, wine and views in a winery restaurant… and others may like to take a combination activity and wine tour. Combo tours include jet boat-wine, golf-wine, bike-wine, spa-wine, nature walk-wine and even helicopter-wine.

Of course, Rydges Lakeland Resort Queenstown is a perfect base for winery exploration!
