THE RYDGES POST

Drink/Dine,Hotel News ian 3/5/2013

Did you know that Rydges Campbelltown has its very own microbrewery and in-house brewer, Alan Barclay?

The microbrewery is part of the Infusion Bar on the ground floor (in entering, Recepotion left, the bar to the right).  Even if you aren't staying there, it is worth dropping in just to try a new brew.  The brewery serves up four refreshing and unique beers which are brewed weekly.

If you drop in and put one to the test, a middy is $4, a schooner $6 or you can do a tasting selection for $9.  The beers are...

Appin Ale

This modern Australian interpretation of a classic English styled pale ale is perfectly balanced and easy to drink. With the upfront taste of solid malt and yeast characteristics, Appin Ale is sure to leave a sweet yet dry lingering bitterness.

Fisher’s Ghost Premium Lager

Featuring refreshing flavours of complex malt and citrus, Fisher’s Ghost Lager is an amazing combination of New Zealand and German blends unfiltered and blessed with a long cold fermentation, this is the perfect summer lager.

Macarthur Wheat

This classic German styled Hefeweizen has the perfect balance of yeast flavour to wheatness with hints of spices and a delicate bitterness that beckons you to ask for another glass. The best thirst quenching ale by far.

Razorback Golden Ale

With a hint of chocolate, Razorback Golden Ale is the perfect combination of New Zealand Hops and English Fuggles mixed with cara red and pale malts. The golden colour and sweet aroma makes it the perfect drink all year round.
