The Melbourne International Jazz Festival has been changing the mood of Melbourne winters since 1998. The city hosts the world’s masters of jazz in venues all around the city until Sunday, June 8.
Australian and international artists preform at intimate club gigs, late night art parties, at street venues and free events and concerts that are suitable for families and children. Many people get to experience for the first time the personal impact that jazz music can haveon the listener while jazz aficionados will see out some of their favourite musicians and performers. The list is long and includes the Alister Spence Trio, the Joshua Redman Quartet, 774’s Swing Noir, Chick Corea & Gary Burton, the Hunters & Pointers, A Celebration of Charlie Parker and Davi sings Sinatra.
