The Irish family group Clannad make a long awaited return to mark their 40th anniversary. It has been 18 years since the legendary Celtic folk heroes toured New Zealand.
With ethereal, haunting and otherworldly ballads, Clannad makes music to take you to another place. Framed by Moya Brennan’s heavenly voice, Clannad’s groundbreaking fusion of traditional Celtic music with modern folk and rock has created a genre to itself – a sound at the crest of the ‘world music’ wave that surged across the globe in the 80s and 90s.
Sounding as new as the morning, Clannad have been soothing souls for four decades with 18 albums, 15 million record sales and a swag of awards to their name they are back with a new tour and a new CD.
