Ben Shewry’s kitchen rules, that’s who!
Melbourne’s Attica restaurant has just been voted Australasia’s best restaurant and head chef, Ben Shewry, attended the awards in London.
The annual list has been compiled by the votes from 900 industry experts since 2002 and inner-suburban Attica rocketed into the Number 21 spot and took the prize for this year’s Highest New Entrant into the coveted Top Fifty.
The only other Australian restaurant to make the fifty was Sydney’s Quay restaurant (chef Peter Gilmore) which made the cut for the fifth year in a row but only just, slipping from #29 to #48.
