WHEN: 31st May 2014 to 8th June 2014
The Babinda Harvest Festival is an annual Babinda event. In this sugar town, it celebrates the start of the sugarcane harvest (mid June), as well as celebrating the harvesting of other tropical produce from our region – bananas, pawpaws, tropical flowers and vanilla to name a few.
Celebrate with the community by attending the street parade and cheer as decorated floats and marching groups parade along the decorated main street. Follow the parade to the Babinda showgrounds for a wonderful evening of country fair displays, competitions, amusements & rides, followed by one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in the North with a bar and band until midnight.
