The Feast of the Senses is North Queensland’s premier tropical food event! Showcasing the amazing variety of exotic tropical fruits, produce, seafood and meats found in Far North Queensland. It is like no other festival in Australia and is truly a feast for all of your senses!

The Melanoma March has existed in other cities since 2012. By 2014, 16 locations around Australia (in both rural and metro locations) participated in the campaign. Cairns will hold its first annual Melanoma March on 20th March - hosted and run by Nicole Brown.
Nicole is a strong believer in creating awareness - due to her losing her sister to Melanoma. The event is non for profit and all volunteered work. Cairns Esplanade will see runners, joggers and casual walkers flock together to promote awareness and raise funds for Melanoma research.

April 25th this year will mark the anniversary of the Australia New Zealand Army Corps landing at Gallipolli. ANZAC Day commemorates those soliders and all soliders that have served and died in all wars, confilcts and peace keeping missions.
To remember those who have fallen this ANZAC day there will be a dawn parade from 5.30am at the Cairns Cenotaph on the Esplanade followed by a Commemoration Parade at 9.15am from Forgarty Park to Munro Martin Park and an Observance Ceremony at 9.30am.

Mother's Day Classic
The Mothers Day classic takes off on the Cairns Esplanade on 8th May from 9am.
The Mother's Day Classic walk or run for Breast Cancer research was established in 1998 - it started from modest beginnings as a walk in the park and has grown into a major national community event. All fundraising efforts go directly to Breast Cancer within women, and more than two thirds of the registration fees also goes directly to the charity.

RSPCA Million Paw's Walk
Join the RSPCA Million Paws Walk along Cairns Esplanade on May 15th and join the fight against animal cruelty whilst getting active, having fun and spending time with your furry pal.
More than 20,000 people will walk at 19 different locations across Queensland. Money raised through online fundraising, the sale of merchandise and activities on the day will help to fund critical work in the community.
