School Holidays have arrived and we’re here to help parents with this go to list of things to do with kids in Port Macquarie! We’ve put all the Rydges Port Macquarie team that are Mums in a boardroom and devised this list of Boredom Busters for your Kiddies!

Take advantage of our local knowledge and read through our list of Fun for Kids activities during your stay with us!

Inflatable World – Hold onto this one for a rainy day! Kids are actually allowed to bounce off the walls here! Giant slides, bungee cords and jousting sticks… set them free, guilt free! Tots are not forgotten too with a dedicated under 5 area!

Mum’s favourite Part: Even Dads can play on the equipment so peace and quiet is assured!

Kids Crazy Maze – Kids will go crazy for this fun indoor maze! Ball pits, terrifying towers and swing ropes… it’s all there for hours of fun!

Mum’s Favourite Part: It’s fully secure ~ once the kids are in that maze, it’s fort knocks to get them out…so if you’ve got a roamer, you can relax!

Petting Zoo at Rose’s Vineyard – An easy highway drive South of Port Macquarie, this hidden gem gives the kids plenty of room to roam, play and pet!

Mum’s Favourite Part: Ummm…. baby animals at a winery…. need we say more?

Bago Maze – Truly spectacular, the Bago Maze is the largest in NSW. A scenic 20 minute drive west of Port Macquarie, you’ll find lush green mazes that the kids will be in awe of! If you visit on the second Sunday of the Month you’ll also be entertained with ‘Jazz in the Vines’

Mum’s Favourite Part: The maze takes 20 minutes to one hour to get through!

Jumbos Playland – The littlest of visitors will love this place! There’s themed areas for boys and girls and giant slides and obstacles for the bigger kids!

Mum’s Favourite Part: The coffee is great and the cake fridge is rather indulgent!

Pony Rides at Cassegrain Winery – There’s something about kids and ponies that go together like Mums and Wines!

Mum’s Favourite Part: The Rose garden entry is sure to inspire some at home gardening!

Timbertown – Take a step back in time! Jump on the steam train, see the hardworking bullocks, pet the cute and fuzzy animals, pedal boat on the lake. It’s old fashioned family fun just 25 minutes west of Port Macquarie.

Mum’s Favourite Part: Not only is it fun, but its a history lesson!

Tacking Point Tavern – Are you like us and get anxiety when it’s time to take the kids out to dinner? At Tacking Point Tavern, family dining  is made super easy with  a massive indoor play area for kids of all ages to enjoy while they wait for their meal. Share a delicious pizza, or indulge in a juicy sirloin steak and a cheeky Mum wine or Dad beer!

Mum’s Favourite Part: The kids menu is full of healthy options!

Stoney Aqua Park – Located a 20 minute drive North of Port Macquarie is the newest kid on the block for Port Macquarie fun!  In a first for our area the giant Inflatable obstacles floating on a man made lake await your little adventurers.

Mum’s Favourite Part: Solid playing is guaranteed….as is sleep afterwards! So perhaps a little romantic room service on our balcony for Mum & Dad?

Wavebowl Tenpin Bowling – Who doesn’t love a friendly competition of Tenpin! Don your bowling shoes and see who gets bragging rights of the Strike King or Queen!

Mum’s Favourite Part: It’s licensed so you can enjoy a wine while the kids bowl!

2 Hour Trail Rides at Bellrowan Valley Horseriding – For something really special, make the 45 minute drive to the gorgeous countryside of Bellangry. The team are horse whisperers and have horses suited to everyone from first time riders to experienced gallopers! Your princess will be begging for a pony by the time the ride is over!

Mum’s Favourite Part: It’s truly beautiful up there not to mention relaxing!

Jumbo SUP Hire – With room for up to 8 people, laughs, fun and fitness is assured!

Mum’s Favourite Part: You can lay back while the kids to all the work! … Dryness is not guaranteed so perhaps leave the cheese platter at home!

Centre of Gravity – Kids climbing up the walls? This indoor super centre has both rock climbing and laser tag for the kids enjoyment

Mum’s Favourite Part: Play a game of Laser Tag, make a bet that the winner gets to choose what to do for the remainder of your holiday .. Make sure you win!

Billabong Zoo – the recent addition of baby lion cubs to the already impressive zoo means you’ll have a great day! Open Rain, hail or shine

Mum’s Favourite Part: The monkeys are always crazy so they’ll make the kids look good!

Hydro Golf & Putt Putt – 27 Holes of putt putt fun will take you back to family holidays as a kid! Young and old, Mums and Dads will all love a bit of friendly competition.

Mum’s Favourite Part: After Putt Putt, take a short drive up the road to the airport and watch a few planes take off – Wayne’s World style!

Wow Fun Park & Flip Out – When the weather is warm, pack the togs and head to Wow fun park for giant inflatable water slide fun and trampoline tricks!

Koala Hospital  Get up and close to our fuzzy icons daily between 8am and 4:30pm!

Mum’s Favourite Part: Stay for the daily guided tours at 3pm!

If all else fails, you can be sure that our waterview Swimming Pool and spa will be a hit with the kids! And if you over do it during the day, dial Room Service and relax in our signature dream beds!
