Attractions & Activities in Snowy Mountains

tip Local Tip

When you stay Rydges, you stay local, and there’s nothing quite like a truly local experience.

Whether you are down for a snow trip or a summer getaway, my local tip is a must visit – the Wildbrumby Distillery. Open for breakfast and lunch with a distinct European Alps vibe, don’t forget to experience the free schnapps tasting. There may be a strong connection to the Alps but the locally made schnapps from homegrown products is simply the best in Australia. Try the classic flavour of Butterscotch or the seasonal warm apple pie, but my favourite is the Devil’s Tongue with a solid kick to warm you up after a long day on the slopes.

Be sure to tag us on social media @rydgeshotels to share your local experiences with us.

The Snowy Mountains are well known for being home to Australia’s best snow sports, it is also outside this peak season that the mountains shake off the snow to expose their real beauty.  Spectacular peaks, clear mountain streams and the clean, crisp high country air provides a beautiful back drop to your holiday.

Jindabyne and the surrounding region is a thriving and exciting destination all year round. Our divine restaurants , outdoor activities, and diverse array of unique attractions let you enjoy a visit that is energised, culturally enriched and, if you’re game, topped off with a nice spot of schnapps!

You should also check out the Snowy Region Visitors Centre which is conveniently located just across Kosciuszko Road to find more things to do in Jindabyne and the Snowy Mountains.
