Say “I do” in one of Townsville’s most romantic wedding venues: the Southbank Convention Centre next to Rydges Southbank Townsville. Glide down the centre’s iconic staircase for a grand entrance into one of life’s most memorable moments. The setting is ideal for photo opportunities before or after your Townsville wedding.  

Three themed rooms at the convention centre open to form the Grand Ballroom, serviced by a pre-function room and bar. The grand foyer also can serve as an ideal location for a ceremony.

For a more intimate affair, the Portside room can be set up banquet style to accommodate up to 50 guests. The room features a private bar and balcony overlooking Palmer Street. The poolside gardens on the hotel property also are welcoming.

Our seasoned Townsville wedding planners are able to assist with every detail of a lavish banquet or intimate affair. Staff also can assist in arranging deluxe Townsville accommodations for all attendees.
