An initiative of Willoughby City Council, The Concourse in Chatswood is the cultural home of the North Shore. The Concourse is one of Sydney’s leading entertainment venues home to a dynamic range of live arts and entertainment. The complex incorporates a Concert Hall and Theatre as well as rehearsal and studio space. It also provides conferencing facilities and venues for hire.
The Concourse offers a unique mix of venues for live theatre, dance, music, events and exhibitions. The precinct also features Chatswood library, two open, green spaces, restaurants and cafés.
Events and performances happen all the time from symphonies to plays to concerts to comedy. As an example, coming up there’s David Williamson’s Jack Manning Trilogy (Face to Face, A Conversation and Charitable Intent), Jason Byrne in You Name the Show, Missy Higgins, Jesus Christ Superstar and Peppa Pig Live – not on the same bill, of course.
Here is a link to the What’s On section of The Concourse website and if you are visiting Sydney’s lower north shore, Rydges North Sydney can look after all your accommodation needs. Chatswood is only about a five minute drive up the highway from North Sydney and public transport is also easy and quick. The Concourse is a two-minute walk from the Chatswood Interchange, which incorporates both bus and train terminals. From the interchange, walk down Chatswood Mall and onto Victoria Avenue.
