The hotel is well maintained m, rooms clean the staff extremely friendly. The onsite restaurant provided good food.

Well appointed rooms, quiet and peaceful with great security. Staff were very friendly and helpful this will be my choice of stays when visiting Kalgoorlie in the future.

I stayed 1 night on business. The accommodation was good and clean, no frills and to my expectation. Staff are attentive and interact well. I will back again next week.

Two weeks ago my husband I arrived at rydges in Kalgoorlie, which had been booked 3 weeks earlier, late in the evening and was told that our room was not ready. staff problems. we finally go into our room and there were no spare pillows. we stayed 3 nights, but housekeeping 'forgot' to service our room. other than the ants that were all over the counter top in the kitchenette, and no clean towels we left disappointed. we booked the third night after we booked in, but someone forgot to record the information, so we were locked out of our room on the second day. it seems that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. because we often stay at the Rydges in Kalgoorlie, we thought that we give it another go. so, I booked in again for Saturday night, arriving at 4.30. the room wasn't ready again! after a 3 1/2 hour drive and a long working week, to be given a towel and a drink voucher and asked to go and have a swim and wait for a phone call to let me know when my room would be ready, is really a bit too much. this may only be Kalgoorlie, but what sort of game are Rydges running. it is supposed to be a 4 star venue. I find the above experiences appalling, and am very disappointing in the poor organisation of the business. I am a manager in my line of work, and I would have been sacked if I had not delivered the basic staples to clients.

We stayed a night on our way from Esperance to Perth. We stayed in the King Deluxe Suite and could not fault the room. It was a lovely big room with a kitchenette that had a fridge, sink and microwave, plus all the cutlery and crockery you could need. The huge ensuite was well appointed, with a lovely big spa and seperate shower. The bed was comfy. We had free WIFI and Foxtel. The staff were very polite and helpful. It was away from the centre of Kalgoorlie, was in a really quiet area and we would highly recommend staying here. We would have loved to have stayed longer, but had to get home.

Had a Fabulous stay in a king deluxe room.Theses rooms are very generous in size with beautiful bathroom including a spa and all the basics are in a mini kitchenette.Look forward to staying here again some time soon.

Well appointed, comfortable room with easy parking. Fantastic food at the restaurant (risotto is amazing!), and we got an excellent rate including late checkout and breakfast. All round it was a wonderful stay!

Nice friendly staff, room great, heavy curtains make it nice and dark, comfy bed, great water pressure in the shower. Could probably do with some nicer towels etc. Some parts of the place are starting to show signs of wear and tear. Probably not far of needing a small makeover in parts. IE: Stains on carpet. But overall, good place. I would recommend if staying in Kalgoorlie. Would definitely stay again.

I have stayed in a number of hotels in Kalgoorlie and the Rydges is by far the best experience so far. Room was very clean and modern. The restaurant had good fast service and excellent meals.

Starting to get tired and looks like a Mining camp with spare beds in the breeze ways . 4 star is a stretch. Food is good .

I stayed at this hotel in Kalgoorlie when it was a Broadwater. After becoming Rydges it has started to look a little shabby in places. Most rooms have marks on carpets or marks on the ceilings from water damage. The swimming pool area is also extremely run down, which is a shame as it's a lovely area. The restaurant remains a star attraction and the food quality was high. Staff are also very pleasant. Just needs some TLC and the hotel would be back up and running. Also a little disappointed that some rooms the Sky News doesn't work.

If new to wonderful Kalgoorlie Town and need to locate somewhere to stay, RYDGES Hotels & Resorts in Kalgoorlie will not disappoint. For example, I needed a change of microwave in my Room as I found the present one too difficult to use. Housekeeping removed the microwave and replaced it, no problem & with a smile to boot. Seriously, that good !

Went to Rydges for a weekend with 6 girlfriends...we had a great time but must admit the rooms were a bit tired...carpet was dirty and stained and I had to be moved from the first room as it smelt of mould and the carpet was lifting....the restaurant was excellent every one was extremely happy with breakfast and dinner..the staff at the desk especially Brittany were very accomodating except for one person who took it upon herself to tell us off at 10.00pm for excessive noise...the stero was turned off and we were quietly talking as we had been asked to tone it down approx an hour before....she was quite rude....we probably will not stay at Rydges again which is a shame but the rooms need a face lift

Booking for room was very easy online, early check in feature was good although we asked for extra towells and didnt recieve them. The staff were very friendly and inviting

Checked in at 11.00pm and check in was very smooth. Room very clean, nice and spacious. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Pool lovely. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. I would highly recommend your hotel.

I found the food in the restaurant ok,but nothing special. Also I felt a little rushed and not much in the way of ambience.

My room was never vacuumed during my whole stay I found one waiter in restaurant to be Very rude with no service experience The wi fi wasn't working my room smelt bad when I arrived I had to get windows opened in my room which took two days The washing machine in laundry was out of order and was taking money but not working I let staff know and nothing was done about it

Rooms are always clean and the staff are good however, there needs to be a complete revamp of the rooms. We have been staying at Rydges for quite a few years and have noticed the deterioration of the rooms, dirty stained carpet, mirrors fixed with black duct tape, fly screens with holes, bad plumbing, leaks (toilet and taps). Also the reduction in what is offered to visitors in the room. This is an international chain of hotels and should be rated the same with all the same facilities. Sad to see the place being slowly rundown as we enjoy staying at the Rydges in Kalgoorlie.

The rooms were spacious, neat and clean. Disappointing that the bar doesn't open until 4pm considering how far out of town the hotel is. (They have a captured market.) The meal we ordered was simple and tasty. All the staff we had interactions with were friendly and helpful

The maintenance man never came back and tried to re-fix the flyscreen in room 78 when I was told he would but it was okay. It wasn't affecting me. Other than that, I already sent an e-mail to say the rooms were very good, except the toilet cistern wasn't fixed for my first night stay. Thank you.

Secure parking and quick check-in/check-out in a modern building were refreshing features. The only minor inconvenience is getting bags up the stairs as there is no lift and it is about 15 minute walk to Hannan Street if you don't have a vehicle. However, the room and all other facilities provided were excellent.

We enjoyed our 5 nights in a very comfortable quiet room with easy access to parking. The hotel and restaurant staff were all friendly and very helpful. The NAIDOC week special menu at the restaurant was an added bonus. For a regional hotel - Rydges Kalgoorlie is rather special!

It is the small details that make a hotel, things like having toilets that don't constantly run after flushing, having all of the lights work in your room, tv stations that aren't frozen on the same picture for months on end. There used to be better shower heads in the bathrooms but they have changed to water saving heads some time ago and the towels used to be thick a fluffy but they seem to have gone as well. 4 to 5 times that I have gone to the bar in the restaurant and they ran out of beer and or soft drink. Not something you would expect from a hotel claiming as many stars as this one. I stay in many hotels all over Australia and the world and this hotel while not being the worst I have stayed in it certainly is no longer the best, the only reason I continue to use this hotel is the wonderful staff and the efforts they go to to try and make my stay comfortable

Have been staying here for numerous occasions; surprised to find that there was no soap left in bathroom, and kettle in room had metallic flakes from heating element during this visit. Ended up not using kettle.

Check-in was organised via the company and no issues to check in which is always great. Unfortunately on the third day my room cards stopped working and had to be renewed but this was handled quickly by staff at reception. Restaurant food was good overall, the salmon parcel in particular was different and very nice. Steaks were nice but served with little sauce and with fatty chunks. Would still return to the restaurant if I was in Kalgoorlie. An issue with an incorrect item on the bill that was not picked up at the original time (was signed to room) but was then able to be resolved after the fact, and was handled very well by staff.

I found the Rydges Kalgoorlie to be great value with comfortable modern rooms, pleasant staff and good meals. I would happily recommend the Rydges Kalgoorlie to any of my work associates or friends traveling through the Goldfields region.

The rooms were very well appointed and it was useful having a washing machine, dryer and laundry detergent in the room. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable but the 2 extra beds put in the living area for the kids were quite uncomfortable and one of the blankets had holes in it. I found being able to order a packed lunch for the following day made things much easier for us for our early start to Lake Ballard. Overall, we were happy with the hotel and all the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Pillows were a bit lumpy, and may need replacing. The car park area in front of rooms needs cleaning, mud was prevalent and when wet could bring mud into rooms or into ones car. Overall a nice resort style hotel. The hotel seemed fairly well booked, however the restaurant was closed on Boxing Day and Public Holidays - very poor hospitality!

Used this hotel to make first visit to Kalgoorlie specifically to see the Super Pit and although this was away from the town this suited me. A walk to either Kalgorlie or Boulder was less than 30 minutes so was fine. Hotel room was large and clean and serviced every day but a friendly group of staff. The pool was fine although the sun bed covers were becoming a little tired but fresh towels were freely available. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Used the restaurant on one evening and this was very good and reasonable value. In all a very good visit.

Rooms are comfortable. Had a slight case of food poisoning the next day after eating at the restaurant.

Breakfast on day 1 was delicious and the cook (female) and waitress could not do enough to help and the buffet was stocked (even though we were on the tail end of the breakfast time - only 15 mins left). On day 2 we turned up an hour and a half before the end of breakfast time and the cook (male) informed that he was running the buffet down and if we really wanted anything he could see what he could do - very unenthusiastic. Another 12 people turned up after us and were told the same thing. Others who had stayed before mentioned that when this cook was on it was always like this, but when the other one was on it was great. Unfortunately being our last morning it really disappointed us and put a damper on our stay. This is the only reason I have not given a 5 score. We will definitely stay here again as the rest of our experience was wonderful.

One of the best I have stayed in

I've stayed at this property several times over the years from when it was new until last week. It is due for a makeover ASAP as many of the rooms (including the 2 bedroom apartment I stayed in) have many signs of wear and tear (paint lifting, paint missing, etc.)

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant provided a good selection for breakfast and were happy to make to order. The bed was very comfortable and so was the room. Adequate facilities were provided. The room was clean, but the carpet needs attention. The pool area was a highlight. The Rydges Kalgoorlie is the best place to stay, especially with children.

Since opening I've stayed and dined at Rydes / The Broadwater on various occasions and spoke highly about my experience, however this instance was not so pleasurable. On arrival I've stood at reception for an extraordinarily long amount of time before I was noticed at which time the 'reception' I recieved was far from welcoming, you could be forgiven for believing the young lady working had a preexisting issue towards me - not so I've never seen her before although I'm quietly confident that she made some judgements and misguided assumptions about me in an instance. I'd rang approximately a week before to get price and availability but did not book, on the night booking in the price was higher and there was no negotiation - I had to bring up registering for the small discount that I did receive and this was met with more obvious annoyance from the receptionist. I was standing in reception with money in my hand for about 20 - 30 mins while she attempted to put the transaction through, eventually she has rung another staff member at home to get direction on how to do this. Any information I did receive was not given out freely such as directions to the room or where to park, these are questions I've asked on my way out. There was no offer of any sort of package and once in the room I became aware I'd paid enough to get the breakfast the next day but this was never mentioned, the room had no toiletry items to speak of and housekeeping entered the room before the check out time and before we had checked out the next day. The room was fine and appeared clean but was in the back carpark corner where I'd never been assigned a room previously but I can understand how this could be necessary in regards to not booking and time of arrival. I can't recall a time that I have given negative feedback on any service previously but the feeling I walked away from the nearly hour long check inn with was not a good one which is a shame - hope this helps and I hope the receptionist was having a bad night and is usually a happier person.

Items of concern, light globes that weren't working, spa bath not working, spa bath tap continually leaking resulting in wet bathroom floor, big stains on carpet looking gross. On the other hand staff were as usual very pleasant to deal with and helpful. On the matter of dining room, prices for breakfast are too expensive for the offer. Perhaps you should consider revising how you deal with breakfasts, either produce to order or reduce buffet prices.

I have been staying at your hotel for the past 8 month whilst on 2 to 3 day Business trips to Kalgoorlie and was disappointed to learn on my recent trip this week that you have ceased room service. This will certainly make me think twice about staying at your hotel on future business trips as the convenience of room service to allow me to work in my room and maximize my time is extremely important to me.

The room & the servicing of the room were fine & to my expectations of a hotel & brand of this quality. However the meal service was poor, with no room service available. On the first few nights I ordered and collected my meal from the restaurant & took it to my room. On the third night of my stay I invited some colleagues to dine with me at the hotel, when we requested a table we were told none were available, when a second member of the restaurant staff was asked if any tables were available one was immediately provided for us. On the fourth night of my stay I asked at the restaurant if I could dine in the restaurant again but I was informed none were available. So I asked if I could simply take my meal back to my room and consume it there, to be informed that that was against policy. I informed the staff member that I done just that on my first two nights and was informed that the policy had changed that week, I ate at another restaurant that night.

On the fourth night of my stay I asked at the restaurant if I could dine in the restaurant again but I was informed none were available. So I asked if I could simply take my meal back to my room and consume it there, to be informed that that was against policy. I informed the staff member that I done just that on my first two nights and was informed that the policy had changed that week, I ate at another restaurant that night.

This is the first time I've stayed at Th Rydges in Kalgoorlie i have always stayed at the Mecure / Ibis for the past 30 years for work, it was refreshing for the change of scenery of cause however the staff made the difference pleasant, prompt of service,and well mannered. Well done to the training staff the reflection was quite evident thank you for a great stay you'll see ma next time i'm up Kind regards Ken

Quality room fitout, spa bath and room service. Great stay again at Rydges Kalgoorlie you will not find a better place to stay for 600km it's that simple.

2nd night of stay the shower lost hot water - needed to shower in a different room Phone in the room didnt work so was unable to call for room service or to enquire about the faulty shower. everytime i stay at the rydges ihave something go wrong with the room, if it wasnt for the priority points i wouldnt stay here I dont recommend this hotel unless the person staying can gain reward points

Peaceful location. Beautiful pool area. Plenty of parking. Super soft comfy bed, big TV. Studio room provides basic cooking and eating equipment. Great spa in a large bathroom. Don't be lateish for breakfast as it will mostly be finished! Friendly, helpful staff.

Hello We where happy to stay at Rydges as we had done the last time we stayed in Kalgoorlie also being a member of the SDA union we received a good discount. We had no probs with house keeping but not a good experience when we first arrived. We checked in and due to our room being not ready we were offered drink vouchers for the bar area. But the two girls who where tidying up the bar wernt happy that we asked for a drink, as they were in a hurry to finish , so serving us was holding them up . But eventually we did get a drink and made for the seats next to the pool area so they could knock off. The only other miss was the cost per head of break fast , we thought it was a bit expensive considering what we paid for dinner that nite at another hotel.

Good location, fast check in and a room at short notice at a reasonable price. Didn't use the pool as the weather was not up to it, but it looked like a great place to relax. The restaurant food was good and the wine menu was also well chosen. The room was great with a large Jacuzzi.

Room size was good and small kitchenette excellent idea. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. The bathroom facilities were good and the spa, though not used, was a bonus. The price was good ...

it was very quiet. that the dining area was closed and there was hardly anywhere in Kalgoorlie to eat and we were not given any indication from staff of where we could get a meal.

Disappointed that the Spa is constantly out of order. I always stay at the Rydges every few works when visiting Kalgoorlie and it is very rarely ever working. I attempted to change breakfast from a Monday morning to a Sunday morning but told by staff (rudely) that this was not possible,. This was despite other friends staying in the hotel being allowed to do this. Breakfast has a good selection of items but the fresh coffee is always cold and the hot breakfast is never kept warm enough to make it a pleasure to eat. Rooms are always lovely however the jets on the spa bath are often not working properly.
