There is something for kids of all ages at Thredbo, from snowball fights and a dedicated children’s snow sports school to fun and games at Thredboland, different events on every weekend and a super fun kids-only flare run. Check out the full winter events schedule here.

Family Fun Nights
This amazing event takes place every Thursday in July – September. Family fun nights is a favourite among those on family ski holidays who love seeing the pure joy on their children’s faces as they are given the opportunity to showcase their skiing and boarding technique as part of the colourful line down Friday Flat.

It’s a great way for kids to top off an awesome day at ski school or on the slopes, with junior snow stars loving the thrill of riding in twilight conditions and parents getting snap happy whilst enjoying the show.

The Thredboland animals come out to play with face painting, snowman building competitions, twilight riding, kids fibre optic flare run, music, fire pit, food and beverages and more.

Thredbo Fireworks and Flare Run

This is certainly a crowd favourite, every Saturday evening throughout winter on dusk guests are treated to one of Thredbo’s finest traditions, the fireworks and flare run. Look to the sky for the impressive fireworks display and then cheer loudly as riders snake their way down the Supertrail with flaming flares. It is a great way to kick off a family ski holiday and the kids will love it. If you are an advanced skier you too can join in on the flaming spectacle by signing up at Valley Terminal.

Thredbo Ski Museum
The museum is open throughout winter and features an impressive collection of skis, snowboards, fabulous vintage fashion, books, videos plus much more. Local members of the historical society are on hand to chat about all things skiing through the ages.
